Discover Fiji: A Paradise Never Lost

Fiji today is noted as one of the friendliest places in the world, but this was not always the case! Colonialism and Christianity tamed “the Cannibal Isles,” and now the Fijian people proudly maintain their unique cultural heritage. This is a world-class destination attracting adventurers, nature lovers, sportsmen, underwater enthusiasts, and romantics both young and old. Lush rain forests, brilliant reefs, waterfalls and wildlife…the outside world quickly becomes a distant memory in this tropical paradise!

Tips in this Tour:
The two major islands in the Fijian archipelago are known as Viti Levu and Vanua Levu. The largest, Viti Levu, is only a quick boat ride away from several offshore island resorts, or less than an hour of flying time to Vanua Levu or Taveuni, the second and third largest islands.
Fiji is an English-speaking country although the two major races - Fijians and Indians - speak in their own vernacular.
A valid passport for at least six months beyond the intended period of stay and a ticket for a return flight or onward travel is required. Entry visas are granted upon arrival for most nationalities for a stay of up to one month. Visa extensions can be made in the Immigration Office in Nadi or Suva.
The Fiji Museum in Suva was founded in 1904 and houses a remarkable collection of archaeological material dating back 3,700 years. There are cultural objects representing both Fiji's indigenous inhabitants and others that have settled in the island group over the past 100 years. The Museum is located within the unique Thurston Gardens. Open six days a week from 09:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Saturday.
Nearly every visitor stays at a resort or guesthouse in Fiji. Each resort has its own schedule of activities that will vary from region to region. As expected, water sports are the most popular. Surfing, snorkeling, scuba diving, waterskiing, sailing, kayak tours, and fishing excursions can be arranged at any resort throughout Fiji. Land activities such as golf, biking, hiking and exploring pre-contact hill forts are also popular ways to spend the day.
