Tips in this Tour:   Read More

This day tour of Wicklow County is completely self-guided… get away from the crowds and enjoy yourself!
All parking at Ireland's Dun Laoghaire Harbour is pay and display, so be sure to bring change with you. Parking is €2 per hour and regulations are strict: don't forget to pay for your spot. You don't want to end your day early, taking care of a clamped car and a ticket!
Be sure to dress in layers! Though you'll work up some body heat during your vigorous walk along Lower Lake, the high altitudes at Guinness Lake bring on some rigorous whipping winds.
In addition to dressing in layers, bring rain gear on your trip. Showers appear and disappear in the blink of an eye, and your walk around Lower Lake offers little shelter against the elements. It's best to be prepared: chances are likely that your umbrella and rain jacket will come in handy at some point.
Both caravan and wilderness camping are allowed in Wicklow County; however, no form of camping is permitted in Glendalough. Visit www.wicklownationalpark.ie for information on how to obtain your camping permit.

Click to see how our tours display--tons of images with either text or narration--much better than any audio tour because you can see the sites. It's like having a friend show you around, with priceless advice and insider information, to enjoy at your own pace. Our samples feature different locations throughout the year.
