Tips in this Tour:   Read More
Although many guidebooks recommend taking a midday rest at your hotel, commuting takes time. Instead, enjoy a leisurely lunch, take in shows during the crowded afternoon, or join other guests napping on a manicured lawn.
Plan your day carefully, but remain flexible. Some of the most magical experiences happen on the spur of the moment. Be willing to take time out to catch an impromptu street show or simply play with a wandering duck.
Portion sizes at both table-service and counter-service restaurants are huge. Kids and adults with smaller appetites can often share a single entrée. Sharing allows kids to experience the varied adult menu for the same price as ordering separate kids' meals.
Involve your kids in planning the day. Taking control of minor decisions such as where to eat lunch can help them feel invested in the trip. If they are responsible enough, let them carry their own spending money as well.
Bring a change of clothes. Your kids may get wet on Splash Mountain or simply playing in the water features such as those at Pooh's Playful Spot.
