Tips in this Tour:   Read More
Don't over-plan your day. Although it is good to have a general design, many of the park's best moments are spontaneous. Leave plenty of time to stop and watch the street performers or relax in the shade while feeding the ducks.
Touch and interact with everything. Pull on ropes, lift rugs, and open crates. The park is filled with small details that are only accessible to those who go looking for them.
Involve your kids in planning the day. Taking responsibility for small decisions such as where to eat lunch gives them a sense of pride and ownership in the trip. If they are responsible enough, consider letting them carry their own spending money as well.
At Disney's Hollywood Studios, kids are permitted to ride alone at the age of seven. Encourage their independence by allowing them to ride in a separate vehicle seat, or even go on an attraction alone while you wait at the exit.
Although many guidebooks recommend taking a midday hotel break away from Disney's Hollywood Studios, commuting takes time. Instead, consider joining other guests napping on a manicured lawn, or simply relax over a long, late lunch.
