Family Trip To Disney's Animal Kingdom

At Disney's Animal Kingdom, the entire family can explore and learn together. Blending exotic wildlife with world-class rides and shows, the park is far more than a simple zoo. At 500 acres, it is also the largest of the Walt Disney World theme parks, making it easy to become overwhelmed.

In this tour, a former Cast Member (Disney-speak for employee) will act as your personal guide. You will learn to navigate the park like a pro, selecting those attractions that are best for your family. Along the way, you will learn some of the history of this unique theme park. This tour is cross-generational: to focus on young children, try the "Kids' Trip to Disney's Animal Kingdom." Take a look below for more info on this tour!

Tips in this Tour:   Read More

Consider seeing "It's Tough To Be A Bug" at the end of the day. Lines will be shorter, giving you more opportunity to study the carvings on the Tree of Life at your own pace.
This is primarily an outdoor park, so be prepared for the weather. Carry plenty of bottled water and sunscreen, and consider bringing a personal misting fan. A rain poncho can help prepare you for the frequent afternoon thunderstorms.
Animal Kingdom is a massive park with a lot to see. Make a touring plan in advance, but stay flexible. Some of the best moments are spontaneous and easy to miss.
Involve all members of your group in planning your trip. Getting involved will give your family a sense of ownership in the trip, and can help prevent meltdowns by letting everyone know what to expect.
Although many guidebooks recommend taking a midday hotel break, commuting takes up valuable time. Instead, why not enjoy a long lunch or even join other guests napping on one of the shady lawns?

Click to see how our tours display--tons of images with either text or narration--much better than any audio tour because you can see the sites. It's like having a friend show you around, with priceless advice and insider information, to enjoy at your own pace. Our samples feature different locations throughout the year.
