However, the sheer size of the park and the range of available options can easily overwhelm the first-time visitor. In this tour, a former Cast Member will teach you to navigate the park like a pro. You will learn about the various accessibility options and how to decide whether a particular attraction is right for you. Along the way, you will discover tips and tricks for saving money and maximizing your time, as well as some insider secrets not always revealed to the general public. Tips in this Tour:
Epcot is a large park, and guests using ECVs may need to recharge them during the day. Electric outlets are strategically placed throughout the park, but are often well camouflaged. Just ask a Cast Member to point out an available outlet.
Try to top off your ECV charge during meals. Outlets are available at both table-service and counter service restaurants. If you prefer to leave your scooter outside, check for an outlet at a nearby restroom or pay phone.
If you happen to visit on a night that the Magic Kingdom is open later than Epcot, ride the monorail roundtrip after Epcot closes. As the tracks run through part of Future World, you will have a stunning view of the softly lit, closed park.
Table-service dining at Epcot could be considered an attraction in its own right. It is not uncommon to linger over a meal for an hour and a half or even two hours, so build plenty of time into your schedule.
As you shop around Epcot, have your purchases sent to Package Pickup, located in the Entrance Plaza. This free service allows you to retrieve your items at the end of the day, rather than carrying them around with you.
