Seattle: Gem Of The Northwest

Seattle is nestled between the Puget Sound and Lake Washington. Although the Space Needle makes the city skyline recognizable, on a clear day you can see from the Cascade Mountains to the Olympic Range. This is a city dedicated to bringing beauty, nature, and artwork to the urban landscape. You can see this everywhere in the local markets, numerous museums and public displays of artwork. Seattle has ignited musical revolutions, television and cinematic fame, as well as computer genius. On this tour we'll see iconic landmarks, fabulous shopping, architectural marvels, historic buildings, and even a park that sits atop the freeway. Take a look below for more info on this tour!

Tips in this Tour:   Read More
Dress in layers; the weather is fickle. Seattle has earned its wet reputation due to frequent overcast days. The rain is often light and short. Seattleites will skip the umbrella for a hooded jacket. If you want to blend in with the locals, walk around like you don't even notice the drizzle.
If you get lost in historic Seattle, check out the closest manhole cover. Chances are it's a map of the city. The silver dot is your current location.
Wear comfortable shoes. Seattle is much hillier than most out-of-towners expect.
You can ride free on the public buses from 6am-7pm in the designated downtown area, just be prepared with proper change if you should stay on the bus outside the free zone.
If you have the time, catch a Washington State ferry to one of the nearby islands. It's a great day trip, with quaint villages and nature reserves to explore.
